AMMAN- The Jordanian National Orchestra Association (JOrchestra) presented a special concert entitled "Friendship" with the attendance of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, HRH Princess Wejdan and HE the Mexican Ambassador to Jordan Enrique Rojo Stein at King Hussein Cultural Centre.  

The concert organized in cooperation with the Mexican Embassy introduced the internationally renowned Mexican conductor Maestro José Areán as an expression of the deep relations between Mexico and Jordan was attended by a host of ambassadors including the American Ambassador to Jordan HE Ms. Alice G. Wells and Italian Ambassador to Jordan Giovanni Brauzzi in addition to Mexican officials and diplomats. 
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his gratitude to the Mexican Ambassador regarding this cooperation especially in the field of music and art –the language of the world. 

Meanwhile, the Mexican Ambassador thanked Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for all the continuous cooperation with the Mexican Embassy stating that music is an international language. 

The program included three compositions of the great Mexican tradition and one piece for trumpet solo by Mohammad Sidiq, offering a unique dialogue in music between Mexico and Jordan through: Chacona in e minor by Carlos Chavez/Dietrich Buxtehude, Piano Concerto no. 2 by Liszt (piano – Ghadeer Abeido), Trumpet Poem by Mohammad Siddiq (Trumpet – Hind Sabanegh), Danzon no. 2 by Arturo Marquez and Huapango by Jose Pablo Moncayo.

José Areán’s career has covered a vast amount of musical and cultural ground. Equally comfortable conducting opera, symphonic and chamber music, he has devoted much time as well to outreach and education in his homeland, Mexico, championing young talents, contemporary music and open-air musical experiences for a wide audience.

All the concerts’ proceeds go to support the Jordanian National Orchestra, a national cultural initiative born with the aim to develop and reinforce the music culture in Jordan with a series of concerts and projects with leading local and international musicians, conductors and composers.
