BEIRUT - The American and Chinese conflict will be transformed into a military confrontation and will result in an agreement by the two countries to lead the world, according to HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh.

In his keynote speech at the 17th Arab Business Community Forum held under the patronage of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and organized by the Lebanese Economic Symposium in cooperation with the Federation of Arab Businessmen in Beirut, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed that global research centers have predicted a worldwide crisis which will also be an opportunity.

“If some neighboring countries were plagued by destruction then through rebuilding, the region will be a center for global prosperity similar to the European renaissance period after the WWII," he said.

He also outlined his prediction that the upcoming global economic crisis would be more severe than the 2008 meltdown and would result in stagflation and unemployment. He urged the Arab countries to be prepared for such a crisis through forming expert taskforces to suggest solutions in advance, noting that he is currently working on compiling a list of possible solutions to help states, public institutions and companies protect their economies and businesses.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh addressed one of the biggest issues in the world which is the problem of global warming, considering it a challenge that is threatening our civilization and stressing the need to solve it quickly, pointing out that the UN formed an international team for this purpose while the US Congress issued serious warnings.

He also stated that the possibility of finding solutions is on two tracks: reducing harmful emissions, and forming a team of Artificial Intelligence (AI) scientists to submit technical solutions to transform harmful emissions into harmless gases.

According to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, the world is facing the Fourth Industrial revolution.

"This is the knowledge revolution due to the fact that this era witnessed the making of wealth through knowledge-based inventions and the Internet has created some kind of equality between men and women in such a field," Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, who presented his latest book "The Brave Knowledge World" to the attendees, said.

The Brave Knowledge World is a reflection of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh's commitment to presenting his lifelong vision of a future knowledge-based world and it explores many anticipated knowledge issues including the impact of AI, and its impending dominance, on the development and transformation of various sectors.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh concluded by noting that building wealth is based on knowledge and today's opportunities today are in the field of knowledge creativity.
