AMMAN- HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) received in his office HE Ms. Donica Pottie, the newly-appointed Canadian Ambassador to Jordan and discussed key issues including TAG.Global’s presence in Canada and the future strategy for expansion in the world's second-largest country by total area.

During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed on the unique relation between Jordan and Canada which covers several key fields and sectors and based on respect, common interests, values, and people-to-people links.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, a Canadian citizen himself stated that Canada is a country where business opportunities are unlimited and that is why he established so far two offices one in Montréal and another in Ottawa in Ontario with a dedicated mission of providing TAG.Global's services especially in the field of Intellectual Property through Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP), the leader in IP services around the world.

"We saw a great opportunity to build a bridge between Canadian clients and AGIP by offering all IP services covering trademark, patent, copyright, design and domain name registrations, in addition to others. The opportunities were very promising and that is why we relocated to a corporate-owned property, a larger office in Westmount area to accommodate the rapid growth and expanding business needs," Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said.

TAG.Global, which has 110+ offices around the world opened its second office in Ottawa in 2018 with the aim of bringing more services to its clients in Canada who seek protection and enforcement of their Intellectual Property Rights worldwide.

"We are planning to have an even stronger presence in Canada through another office in the western part of Canada such as in Alberta or British Columbia so as to cover all parts of Canada and be able to offer all TAG.Global services including the latest products of TAGTech," he added.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh focused on the possibility of establishing a production facility for TAGTech's products in Canada similar to the ones which will open in Jordan, Egypt and Qatar.

The Ambassador welcomed the idea saying: "Canada would welcome increased investment by TAG.Global and that the Embassy and Invest in Canada are available to provide support."

It is worth noting that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global embarked on a mission to design and manufacture laptops, tablets, smart phones and other high-tech products which carry the highest specs and affordable prices.

TAG.Global’s overall business volume generated in Canada is estimated at more than $1,500,000 annually and expected to increase in coming years with the inauguration of other offices in the country.
