LOS ANGELES - The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) organization (org) announced a new forum intended for Domain Name System (DNS) resolver operators and experts from across the world. The ICANN Resolver Operator Forum will provide opportunities for participants to compare experiences, discuss best practices, and to network, a press release stated by ICANN.
The purpose of the ICANN Resolver Operator Forum aligns directly with ICANN's overall mission to maintain the security and stability of the DNS. For this reason, the forum will gather recursive resolver experts and operators from across the world, including the regions of Africa, North America, Latin America/Caribbean, Asia/Australia/Pacific, and Europe.
