Abu-Ghazaleh; Keynote Speaker at ‘Oman 2040 Vision in light of the Knowledge Revolution’ Conference

AMMAN – The Ministry of Labor for Human Resource Development of the Sultanate of Oman has hosted HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), as a keynote speaker at the Individual Performance Measurement and Institutional Proficiency System (Ejada) Conference, entitled ‘The Potentials to Achieve Oman 2040 Vision in Light of the Technological Revolution.”

The Conference aimed to update the participants on the latest developments in the field of human resource training, to link the individual goals and objectives with the strategic objectives of the institution and sharpen their skills.

In his digitally delivered keynote address, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed the importance of Oman 2040 Vision and its role in stimulating the economy, attracting foreign investment and supporting Omani exports to global markets.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh further commended the efforts of the Sultanate in moving towards innovation, attracting entrepreneurial projects and entrepreneurs, and in creating an environment that stimulates creativity. He applauded the role of the Ministry of Labor and Human Resources, represented by the ministry’s undersecretary HE Sayyed Salem Muslim Al Busaidi and his team in disseminating the culture of innovative technology and digital transformation.

 Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh emphasized the importance of digital transformation in the current situations, noting that TAG.Global is among the first institutions in the world to advocate the need and the importance of digital transformation and its impact on the national economy, considering that more than 85% of its services are digitally provided.

For his part Mr. Al Busaidi said that the Conference attracted wide participation of local and international experts, pointing out that more than 190,000 employees had joined Ejada system for measuring performance; which includes 57 units of the civil state’s administrative apparatus and other public legal persons.

 The Conference discussed several important topics such as the investment in human capital, knowledge society and its role in building human capital, and its relationship to innovation and creativity, capacity building and development process, in addition to reviewing mechanisms of individual performance measurement.
