Trademark Public Listening Session on Changes to Duration of Attorney Recognition

VIRGINIA - The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is considering changes to the attorney recognition rule regarding the duration of recognition. Join our public listening session September 26 from 2-3:30 p.m. ET in person or online to share your feedback on whether we should continue to remove attorney information from application and registration records when recognition ends.

Request to speak

If you would like to speak, either online or in person, please email TMPolicy@uspto.gov the following information by September 15:

•    Your name (or the name of the person who will speak)
•    Whether you will speak in person or virtually
•    Any organizations that you represent
•    Your address, telephone number, and email address where you can be contacted

We’ll only hear public comments from confirmed speakers. You can also submit written comments until October 6.
